Home Mentoring

The Girls Glowing Up Home Mentorship Program provides personalized, one-on-one mentoring sessions for girls in the comfort of their own homes. Our mentors meet girls where they are — physically and emotionally — to build confidence, improve hygiene and self-care, strengthen life skills, and support overall mental wellness.

This one-of-a-kind approach allows us to connect deeper, understand each girl’s environment, and provide practical lessons that create lasting change.

Each home visit focuses on developing the whole girl — from her confidence to her daily habits. Mentors use age-appropriate lessons and guided activities to help each participant grow through:

• 🌸 Confidence & Self-Esteem Building – Helping girls recognize their worth and use positive self-talk.
• 💅🏽 Hygiene & Self-Care – Teaching cleanliness, body confidence, grooming, and healthy routines.
• 🧠 Emotional Wellness – Learning to manage stress, handle emotions, and express themselves safely.
• 💬 Social Skills & Boundaries – Navigating friendships, family dynamics, and peer pressure.
• 🎯 Goal Setting & Accountability – Setting realistic short- and long-term goals.
• 💼 Independent Living Readiness – Understanding daily habits like organization, time management, and personal responsibility.

Each visit includes reflection time, journaling prompts, and custom handouts for both the girl and her parent or caregiver to continue learning together.

Once a month, all mentees come together for group outings designed to promote sisterhood, leadership, and social confidence.
Activities may include:

• Team-building adventures and community service
• Self-care or wellness days
• Educational field trips
• Fun social meetups that reinforce life lessons

These outings help girls practice what they’ve learned, build new friendships, and experience positive peer interactions outside of their normal environments.

Many girls today face challenges that go beyond academics. They need mentorship, consistency, and real-life skills to help them thrive.
Our Home Mentorship Program not only empowers girls emotionally but also collects data through surveys and reflections that help us understand their needs and tailor future programs.

This data-driven approach helps Girls Glowing Up create measurable impact — in confidence, wellness, and life outcomes.

The program is open to girls ages 8–17 who may benefit from one-on-one mentoring, life skills support, and positive female role models.
Referrals are accepted from:

• Parents or guardians
• School counselors or teachers
• Community organizations
