Eligibility

Who Can Apply

  • Girls ages 10–18 (elementary through high school)
  • Commitment to attend meetings and service projects
  • Parent/guardian permission for minors
  • Positive attitude and willingness to serve
Leadership Pathway

Grow Through the Ranks

Advance through leadership levels by completing workshops, service projects, and leadership activities — a long-term journey, not a one-time event.

Level 1

Emerging Leader

Starting point — attend workshops and complete first service project.

Level 2

Rising Leader

Lead a small team project and earn 25+ volunteer hours.

Level 3

Community Leader

Design and lead a service initiative with cohort peers.

Level 4

Glow Ambassador

Represent GGU publicly, mentor new participants, speak at events.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee?

The Leadership Academy is free for accepted participants. Scholarships and community partners cover program costs.

How often do we meet?

Cohorts typically meet twice a month for workshops, plus scheduled service projects on weekends.

How are girls selected?

We review each application holistically — commitment, interest, and readiness matter more than grades.

Can I reapply?

Yes. If you aren't accepted this round, you're welcome to apply for the next cohort.

Do I receive volunteer hours?

Yes — all service is documented and eligible for school and scholarship requirements.

Is transportation available?

We coordinate carpools and, when possible, provide transportation for major service projects.
