Core Program 02 / 03

She doesn’t need advice.
She needs someone who stays.

GGU Mentoring pairs girls K–12 with trained, background-checked mentors who show up week after week — at school, at home, in the community, or in a group.

“Mentoring isn’t a program she attends. It’s a person she trusts.”

What mentoring actually is

A GGU mentor isn’t a tutor or a therapist. She’s a steady, trained adult who listens, encourages, and walks with a girl through real life while guiding her through our five-pillar framework.

Mentoring stands on its own as one of GGU’s three core programs, alongside the Leadership Academy and our online Curriculum.

  • Girls K–12, matched by age and need
  • Families who want a consistent, caring adult in her corner
  • Schools and organizations serving girls
  • Girls navigating transition, confidence, or motivation challenges
The Impact

What girls receive

Six things every GGU mentee walks away with, whichever way she enters the program.

  • 01

    A Consistent Adult Ally

A trained, background-checked mentor who shows up week after week.

  • 02

    Confidence & Identity

Space to be known, heard, and encouraged as she figures out who she is.

  • 03

    Emotional Tools

Healthy coping, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • 04

    Goal Setting

Personal goals she sets, tracks, and celebrates with her mentor.

  • 05

    School & Life Support

Accountability for attendance, effort, and everyday decision-making.

  • 06

    Family Partnership

Regular communication so parents are part of her progress.

How It’s Delivered

One program. Four ways in.

These are delivery models within Mentoring — not separate GGU programs.
